MATERIAL RETURN AUTHORIZATION POLICY

PURPOSE
The purpose of the Material Return Authorization (MRA) is to ensure accurate and timely processing of all product return claims, arrange for the replacement part(s) and to ensure Noritsu Canada Ltd. (NCL)/ Noritsu America Corp. (NCL) Accounting Department receives all necessary documents to complete any applicable adjustment or refund to the Customer Account.

SCOPE
This Policy applies to all products returned from the customer to NCL and includes products returned due to: Warranty failures, Non-warranty returns, damages, and errors.

WARRANTIES

• CONSUMABLE WARRANTY
All Noritsu Ink and paper is warrantied against defects in manufacturing. Noritsu does not warrant paper not stored with the correct environment conditions
• PARTS WARRANTY
All Noritsu repair parts installed by a Noritsu Technical Service Representative (TSR) are warranted for 90 days upon installation. Noritsu does not warrant parts installed by the customer.
• ACCESSORIES & SERIALIZED ITEMS WARRANTY
Accessories and other parts having serial numbers, which are purchased outside of a system purchase, are warranted for a period of 90 days.
Exchanged Accessories (e.g.: ADT, SARA, FARA, ENV, etc.) are warranted for a period of 30 days from date of shipment by Noritsu.
• SERVICE LABOR WARRANTY
Noritsu offers a 30 day warranty on repair work Noritsu performed on the customer’s equipment.

RETURN POLICY
All returned merchandise is subject to NCL’s inspection upon receipt. Products received, but not in compliance with the return policy will be deducted from the credit to be issued.

A. If an item is ordered in duplicate or otherwise products are ordered in error, the customer must obtain
Material Return Authorization (RTN) and must immediately return item(s) prepaid to NCL in NEW condition.
a. If the new part(s) are received at NCL within 30 days of NCL’s original ship date, the customer’s account will be credited the cost of the returned part less a 15% restocking fee.
b. If the new part(s) are received at NCL between 31 days and 60 days from NCL’s original ship date, the customer’s account will be credited the cost of the returned part less a 25% restocking fee.
c. No parts will be accepted after 60 days from NCL’s original ship date and no credit will be issued.
d. All special ordered items will require a 50% down payment which is non-refundable and the parts are non-returnable.

B. If the wrong goods are shipped in error by NCL:
a. If actual part received is different due to an order entry or parts picking error, a correct part will be shipped on a charge basis and full credit will be issued when the returned goods are received at NCL (NCL will arrange for the pickup of the part(s) incorrectly issued).

C. If actual part was ordered once and NCL shipped and billed twice, a full credit will be issued when the duplicated part is received by NCL.

D. If Consumable products (Ink or Paper) are ordered in error, the customer must obtain a
Material Return Authorization (RTN) and must immediately return item(s) prepaid to NCL in NEW condition.
a. If the new part(s) are received at NCL within 30 days of NCL’s original ship date, the customer’s account will be credited the cost of the returned part less a 15% restocking fee.
b. If the new part(s) are received at NCL between 31 days and 60 days from NCL’s original ship date, the customer’s account will be credited the cost of the returned part less a 25% restocking fee.

PROCEDURES
To obtain an authorization to return any product, please, call to the Noritsu Hotline and Parts order desk at 1-800-461-9517, with the following information:

1. Customer account number
2. Name, Address and Phone Number of the store and contact making the request
3. Part number and description of items that you are requesting to return
4. Installation date and serial number of the applicable system
5. Brief description of failure
6. Sales order number with which the equipment or product was received (Packing Slip)

Upon receipt of the necessary information and Noritsu’s approval of your claim, Noritsu will issue and provide you with a MRA (Material Return Authorization) number. Should a replacement part(s) be required, please specify your preferred shipping method. You must return the goods immediately in accordance with the policy outlined in this document.

WARRANTY RETURNS
Noritsu Canada Ltd. (NCL) will make a good faith effort to promptly replace any product sold by
NCL that proves to be defective in workmanship or materials within the NCL warranty period.

Note: Please check the conditions of the Warranty. The Warranty Statement is enclosed in the package accompanying your system(s). A copy of the Noritsu Warranty to the original purchaser of the equipment may be obtained from Noritsu upon request.

• If replacement part(s)or consumables are required, we will make arrangements to ship immediately via common carrier, ground service at no charge for shipping. The customer will be charged for freight when special routing or expedited delivery beyond ground service delivery is requested.
All returned items must be sent PRE-PAID within 30 days from shipment of replacement part with the MRA number and Customer Account Number marked clearly on the outside of all returned packages. Items returned after 30 days will be billed. Items returned on a C.O.D. basis may be rejected upon receipt, or, if accepted, all C.O.D. charges and other costs will be invoiced to your account through our Accounting Department.
• Items returned to our facility must be properly packaged to prevent any damage in shipment.
• Unauthorized returns will not be accepted and will be returned to the carrier for return to sender.
• Cases will occur where parts or Consumables will not be needed to be returned and can be scrapped in field. Ensure this is the case when speaking to the Parts Department
• If the part is an electronic item and the security label is broken, any warranty for that part is invalidated and the MRA is closed.

NON-WARRANTY RETURNS
All repair parts not installed by a Noritsu TSR will not be warranted. The part will be billed and returned to the customer.

NOTE
1. NCL is not liable for any damages incurred in-route. If you are in receipt of goods damaged in-route, please notify the NCL Parts Order Department immediately. It is your responsibility to make a visual inspection upon receipt of the packaging and the goods inside for any damage and you must make a notation of any detected damages on the shipper’s document prior to signing for receipt of the package or shipment.
a. Pictures of the damaged packaging and/or goods should be taken and included with the parts when returned.
b. Please contact the Parts Order Department for the prompt shipment of replacement parts and to arrange return of damaged items.

Please consult the Order Desk before requesting authorization to return any equipment for repair.
